For receiving the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your email address. When subscribing to our newsletter, the data you provide is used solely for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by email about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offering or technical circumstances).
For effective registration, we require a valid email address. To verify that registration is actually performed by the owner of the email address, we use the double opt-in procedure. Based on your expressly given consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), we regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by email to the email address you provided.

7. Use of Google Analytics
Type and Purpose of Processing
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files stored on your computer that enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Due to activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
The purposes of data processing are evaluating use of the website and compiling reports on website activities. Further related services are then to be provided based on website and internet usage.
Legal Basis
Data is processed based on the user’s consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Recipients
The recipient of the data is Google as a processor. We have concluded the corresponding data processing agreement with Google.
Storage Period
Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for our recording purposes.
Third-Country Transfer
Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU_US Privacy Shield:
https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Provision Required or Necessary
Provision of your personal data is voluntary and based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may result in functional restrictions on the website.
Withdrawal of Consent
You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser Add On to Deactivate Google Analytics.
In addition to or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data for this website and for this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Profiling
With the help of the Google Analytics tracking tool, the behavior of website visitors can be evaluated and interests analyzed. For this purpose, we create a pseudonymous user profile.
8. Use of Script Libraries (Google Webfonts)
Type and Purpose of Processing
To display our content correctly and in a visually appealing manner across browsers, we use “Google Web Fonts” provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) for font display.
You can find Google’s privacy policy here:
https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Legal Basis
The legal basis for integrating Google Webfonts and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Recipients
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible, though currently unclear whether and for what purposes, that the operator (Google) collects data in this case.
Storage Period
We do not collect personal data through the integration of Google Webfonts.
Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at:
https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq
and in Google’s privacy policy:
https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
Third-Country Transfer
Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU_US Privacy Shield:
https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Provision Required or Necessary
Provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, correct display of content may not be possible using standard fonts.
Withdrawal of Consent
JavaScript is regularly used to display content. You can therefore object to data processing by disabling JavaScript in your browser or installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that this may result in functional restrictions on the website.
9. Use of Google Maps
Type and Purpose of Processing
On this website, we use Google Maps. Google Maps is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website and allows you convenient use of the map function.
More information about data processing by Google can be found in Google’s privacy notices. There, you can also change your personal privacy settings in the privacy center.
Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for integrating Google Maps and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Recipients
By visiting the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged into or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data is assigned directly to your account.
If you do not want the assignment to your profile at Google, you must log out of Google before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for purposes of advertising, market research, and or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation occurs in particular (even for users not logged in) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.
Storage Period
We do not collect personal data through the integration of Google Maps.
Third-Country Transfer
Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU_US Privacy Shield:
https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Withdrawal of Consent
If you do not want Google to collect, process, or use data about you via our website, you can disable JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you will not be able to use our website or only to a limited extent.
Provision Required or Necessary
Provision of your personal data is voluntary and based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may result in functional restrictions on the website.
10. Use of Zoom
Privacy notices for online meetings, telephone conferences, and webinars via “Zoom”
We would like to inform you below about the processing of personal data in connection with the use of “Zoom”.
Purpose of Processing
We use the “Zoom” tool to conduct telephone conferences, online meetings, video conferences, and or webinars (“online meetings”). “Zoom” is a service provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc., which is headquartered in the USA.
Controller
The controller for data processing that takes place in direct connection with conducting “online meetings” is Gopal Norbert Klein.
Note: If you access the “Zoom” website, the provider of “Zoom” is responsible for data processing. Accessing the website is only required to download the software for using “Zoom”.
You can also use “Zoom” by entering the respective meeting ID and, if applicable, additional access data for the meeting directly in the “Zoom” app.
If you do not want or cannot use the “Zoom” app, the basic functions are also available via a browser version, which you can also find on the “Zoom” website.
What Data Is Processed?
When using “Zoom”, various types of data are processed. The scope of the data also depends on what information you provide before or during participation in an “online meeting”.
The following personal data is subject to processing:
- User information: first name, last name, phone (optional), email address, password (if “single sign-on” is not used), profile picture (optional), department (optional)
- Meeting metadata: topic, description (optional), participant IP addresses, device and hardware information
- Recordings (optional): MP4 file of all video, audio, and presentation recordings; M4A file of all audio recordings; text file of the online meeting chat
- Dial-in by phone: information on incoming and outgoing phone number, country name, start and end time; if applicable, additional connection data such as the device IP address
- Text, audio, and video data: you may be able to use chat, Q&A, or survey functions; your text inputs are processed to display them in the online meeting and, if applicable, to record them. To display video and play audio, data from your microphone and any camera is processed during the meeting. You can switch off the camera or mute the microphone at any time via the Zoom applications.
To participate in an “online meeting” or enter the “meeting room”, you must at least provide your name.
Scope of Processing
We use “Zoom” to conduct “online meetings”. If we want to record “online meetings”, we will inform you transparently in advance and, where required, ask for your consent. The fact that the meeting is being recorded is also displayed in the “Zoom” app.
If it is necessary for documenting results of an online meeting, we will record chat contents. However, this is generally not the case.
In the case of webinars, we may also process questions asked by webinar participants for the purpose of recording and follow-up.
If you are registered with “Zoom” as a user, reports about “online meetings” (meeting metadata, dial-in data, questions and answers in webinars, survey function in webinars) may be stored by “Zoom” for up to one month.
Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR is not used.
Legal Bases for Data Processing
If personal data of Gopal Norbert Klein is processed, Section 26 BDSG is the legal basis for data processing. If, in connection with the use of “Zoom”, personal data is not required for establishing, carrying out, or terminating the employment relationship, but is nevertheless an essential component of using “Zoom”, Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR is the legal basis. Our interest in these cases is the effective conduct of “online meetings”.
Otherwise, the legal basis for data processing when conducting “online meetings” is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, insofar as the meetings are conducted within the framework of contractual relationships.
If no contractual relationship exists, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Here too, our interest is the effective conduct of “online meetings”.
Recipients / Disclosure of Data
Personal data processed in connection with participation in “online meetings” is generally not disclosed to third parties, unless it is intended for disclosure. Please note that content from “online meetings”, as with in-person meetings, often serves to communicate information to customers, interested parties, or third parties and is therefore intended for disclosure.
Further recipients: The provider of “Zoom” necessarily gains knowledge of the above data insofar as this is provided for in our data processing agreement with “Zoom”.
Data Processing Outside the European Union
“Zoom” is a service provided by a provider in the USA. Personal data is therefore also processed in a third country. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that meets the requirements of Art. 28 GDPR.
An adequate level of data protection is guaranteed, on the one hand, by the “Privacy Shield” certification of Zoom Video Communications, Inc., and, on the other hand, by the conclusion of the so-called EU standard contractual clauses.
Your Rights
You have the right to access personal data concerning you. You can contact us at any time for information.
If an information request is not made in writing, please understand that we may require evidence proving that you are the person you claim to be.
You also have the right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, as far as legally permissible.
Finally, you have the right to object to processing within the framework of legal requirements.
You also have the right to data portability within the framework of data protection requirements.
Deletion of Data
We generally delete personal data when there is no longer a need for further storage. A need may exist in particular if the data is still required to fulfill contractual services, to check and grant or defend warranty and, if applicable, guarantee claims. In the case of statutory retention obligations, deletion is only possible after the relevant retention period has expired.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of personal data by us.
Changes to These Privacy Notices
We revise these privacy notices in the event of changes to data processing or other occasions that make this necessary. The current version is always available on this website.
